Trade Minister Ömer Bolat told civil‑society groups in Ereğli that Turkey has reached annual exports of $273.5 billion and expects an additional $4.5 billion this month, aiming for $278 billion in merchandise exports. He announced a 100 billion‑lira support package for businesses, offering loans at roughly 30 % of cost with a ceiling of 3 million lira per enterprise, and highlighted that about 22 000 exporters have received re‑export credit at a 20 % cost rate. Bolat noted that the 18 billion‑lira esnaf credit line in Konya and more than 1 billion lira provided over the past decade in Ereğli are being expanded, with a new ≈ 100 million‑lira tranche expected to be released soon. The minister also said Turkey has risen to 16th place in the world economy and 11th in purchasing‑power parity rankings. In parallel, he previewed a forthcoming advertising regulation and revisions to the refurbished‑goods rules. During the same visit, Bolat toured the newly‑opened Gençlik Kampüsü (Youth Campus) and a public library in Ereğli, emphasizing the link between knowledge, trade and economic growth.
