Turkey reports multiple fatal traffic accidents and violent incidents

Turkey has experienced several significant traffic accidents and violent incidents across various provinces.

In Gaziantep, a collision between two cars at a junction on the D-400 highway resulted in four deaths, including a 9-year-old girl, Sara Kalkan. The victims were reportedly traveling for the pistachio harvest. Security footage captured the moment one vehicle attempted a maneuver, leading to the crash.

In Kayseri, a major accident occurred when a passenger bus traveling from Cizre to Ankara collided with a fuel tanker at the Kayseri Organized Industrial Zone junction. The collision caused the tanker to overturn, spilling fuel across the road and creating a high risk of fire. Approximately 35 people were injured in the incident.

Other notable incidents include a fatal shooting in Konya's Akşehir district stemming from a debt dispute, and a tragic accident in Antalya where a father discovered his son was one of the victims after stopping to help at a crash site. Additionally, a collision in Afyonkarahisar left two dead and four injured, while a crash in Niksar resulted in five injuries due to reported poor road lighting and signage.
