Turkey transfers 21.9 billion lira from energy revenues to Family and Youth Fund
Turkey's Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources has transferred a total of 21.9 billion lira from oil and mining revenues to the Family and Youth Fund. This funding is derived from state shares collected under the Turkish Petroleum Law and the Mining Law.
Of the total amount, 12.1 billion lira originated from mining, while 9.8 billion lira came from oil and natural gas. In 2024 alone, transfers to the fund exceeded 7.8 billion lira. Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar stated that these resources have supported more than 185,000 young people in establishing households.
Under the current program, eligible young people receive financial support based on age: up to 250,000 lira for those aged 18-25, and up to 200,000 lira for those aged 26-29.
