Turkey rolls out road paving, highway repairs and transport upgrades in several regions

In Van’s Erciş district, three special‑needs siblings received a newly paved 500‑metre stretch of road and new electric wheelchairs after Kaymakam Murat Karaloğlu secured assistance from the provincial governor, the municipal mayor’s deputy and the city road‑building department.

In Ankara, the Anıtkabir‑Anadolu Meydanı ANKARAY station will be temporarily closed to passenger boarding and alighting from 27 June 2026 at 13:00 following a decision by the governor, with officials urging commuters to use alternative stops.

Separate highway works are under way on the Ankara Çevre Otoyolu, where sections linking the airport to the outer ring are being resurfaced and repaired. Night‑time lane closures and controlled traffic flow are in place, with full completion targeted for early July.

Across the country, the General Directorate of Highways has issued traffic warnings for ongoing construction on multiple routes, including the İzmir Çevre Otoyolu bridge works, the TAG highway toll‑gate area, the Kınalı‑Büyükçekmece stretch, the Ankara‑Kırıkkale road, and others. Drivers are asked to respect reduced speed limits and traffic signs. Additionally, a local clean‑up of road sides was carried out in Karaali.
