Turkey introduces AI-powered EBA education platform

Turkish Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin has unveiled the revamped Education Information Network (EBA), a digital platform integrated with artificial intelligence. Designed to be one of the world’s leading educational content portals, the new EBA aims to provide personalized learning experiences for students from preschool through high school.

Key features of the updated system include AI-driven personalized study plans, academic progress tracking, and specialized interfaces for students, teachers, and parents. The platform also includes the MEBİ application to assist students preparing for transition exams and the DİLİM application, which offers language learning content in Turkish, English, and potentially Arabic and German.

Minister Tekin noted that EBA currently serves approximately 6 million active users, positioning Turkey strongly among OECD countries regarding digital infrastructure readiness. The digital transformation, which began with the FATİH Project in 2011, is being further expanded to include AI-supported management systems capable of reporting on school needs, geographic locations, and human resource requirements.
