Turkey upgrades hospitals with new equipment and infrastructure
Fatih Evcimen has taken charge as Administrative and Financial Affairs Manager of Gördes State Hospital in Turkey. He announced a comprehensive transformation that includes reopening an unused operating theatre, connecting the hospital to natural gas, and acquiring new medical devices such as a dental X‑ray unit and advanced eye‑clinic equipment. Evcimen emphasized transparent management and the goal of reducing patient travel to neighboring districts.
At Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University Hospital, Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Yılmaz reported the installation of a next‑generation Essenz heart‑lung system valued at about 20 million TL. The system digitises surgical data, enhancing patient safety and quality in cardiac and vascular procedures. The hospital highlighted its recent surgical volumes—537 heart operations in 2025 and 318 in the first seven months of 2026—underscoring the impact of the new technology on regional healthcare.
