The Mersin Metropolitan Municipality completed a 3.5‑kilometre double‑layer asphalt resurfacing of the road linking the Güzeloluk and Kuşluca neighbourhoods in Erdemli district. The works, carried out by the Road Construction, Maintenance and Repair Directorate, included ground stabilisation, compaction and the use of a mobile quality‑control laboratory to ensure material standards. Officials said the upgraded road improves safety and comfort for residents, supports agricultural and livestock transport, and will help local produce reach markets more efficiently.

In İzmir, the Metropolitan Municipality began night‑time asphalt works on Toros Street in the Konak district’s Ulubatlı neighbourhood. After removing the old pavement, crews are applying new asphalt over about 1,200 square metres, extending through the Mehmet Akif and Saygı neighbourhoods. The project aims to enhance traffic comfort and safety for local residents and commuters.
