Weather alerts issued for Turkey and the Netherlands
Meteorological agencies in Turkey and the Netherlands have issued various weather alerts. In Turkey, the Meteoroloji Genel Müdürlüğü has issued yellow and orange code warnings for several provinces due to expected heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and potential risks of flooding, landslides, and lightning. The Eastern Black Sea region, including provinces such as Ordu, Giresun, Rize, Artvin, and Trabzon, is particularly at risk for intense precipitation. While some regions like Istanbul and Izmir are expected to experience warmer, clearer weather, other areas in Central and Eastern Anatolia face localized storms.
In the Netherlands, the KNMI has issued a yellow code warning for the entire country following reports of thunderstorms. Heavy rainfall, potentially accompanied by hail and winds reaching 70 km/h, is expected, particularly in the northern and western regions such as Noord-Holland.
