Turkey weather forecast: Rain and fog expected across multiple regions
Meteorological forecasts indicate shifting weather patterns across Turkey and Cyprus. In the Marmara region, particularly Istanbul, heavy thunderstorms are expected to arrive via Thrace, with experts warning of potential impacts on Friday evening. Some areas in the western Marmara and Aegean regions may face risks of flooding due to intense rainfall.
In the Aegean and Mediterranean regions, temperatures remain relatively mild, with Muğla reaching up to 28 degrees Celsius. However, parts of the Black Sea and Eastern Anatolia are expected to experience localized showers and thunderstorms. In Central Anatolia, cities like Ankara and Nevşehir will see fluctuating temperatures, with significant differences between day and night.
Northern and eastern parts of the country will experience cloudy skies, while many regions are advised to watch for fog and haze during morning hours, which may reduce visibility for drivers. In Cyprus, high pressure will maintain dry and warm conditions, with temperatures near 29 degrees Celsius in coastal and inland areas.
