Turkey weather forecast shows heatwaves and heavy rain

Meteorological reports for Turkey indicate a period of contrasting weather patterns across the country. While much of the western and southern regions, including the Aegean, Mediterranean, and Southeast Anatolia, continue to experience high temperatures—with some areas reaching between 38°C and 40°C—other regions are facing significant precipitation.

Heavy rain and thunderstorms are forecasted for the Eastern Black Sea coast, including Artvin and Ordu, as well as parts of Eastern Anatolia such as Erzurum, Kars, Ardahan, and Van. In the Mediterranean region, localized showers are expected near the Taurus Mountains and Hatay. Additionally, fog and mist are predicted for parts of the Marmara region and Bolu during the early morning hours.

Temperatures are expected to remain near seasonal norms in most areas, though southern and western provinces may see values slightly above average. Authorities have advised caution regarding sudden rainfall, potential flooding, and extreme heat exposure.
