Turkey Women's Volleyball Team defeats Hungary 3-0
The Turkish Women's National Volleyball Team secured their third consecutive victory in the 2026 CEV Women's European Volleyball Championship, defeating Hungary 3-0. The match, held at the Sinan Erdem Sports Hall in Istanbul, saw Turkey win the sets with scores of 26-24, 25-21, and 25-14.
Following previous wins against Latvia (3-0) and Slovenia (3-1), the team remains undefeated in Group A. Despite the victory, head coach Daniele Santarelli expressed dissatisfaction with the team's performance, noting significant fluctuations in play and a need for better mental approach and consistency against lower-ranked opponents.
Key players included Melissa Vargas and Zehra Güneş. Turkey's next scheduled Group A matches are against Germany on August 26 and Poland on August 28.
