Turkey's Agriculture Minister Ibrahim Yumaklı inspects Fethiye beneficial‑insect production plant

Agriculture and Forestry Minister Ibrahim Yumaklı visited the beneficial‑insect production facility in Kargı Mahallesi, Fethiye, Muğla, as part of the Muğla regional program. He received a detailed briefing on the plant’s advanced production technologies, capacity and its role in biological pest‑control. Yumaklı emphasized that the insects are used domestically and exported, helping to curb pesticide imports. “Bu alanda hep ilkleri yaptı. Biz de bakanlık olarak her zaman yanlarında olacağız ve desteklemeye devam edeceğiz,” he said, confirming continued ministry support and plans to expand the model nationwide. He also highlighted the growing number of young entrepreneurs entering agriculture, noting a shift in attitudes toward farming as a viable livelihood.
