Turkey's AK Party celebrates 25 years with new logo and nationwide events
The Justice and Development Party (AK Party), founded in 2001 under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, is preparing for its 25th anniversary. A special logo was unveiled that incorporates symbols such as the Turkish flag, Hagia Sophia, the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, the Istanbul Airport, the domestically produced Togg car, high‑speed rail, and other flagship projects.
Celebrations will be held across all 81 provinces, including a central program on 14 August at the Capital Garden in Ankara attended by Erdoğan and thousands of guests. Planned activities feature a drone show, the release of 25,000 commemorative coins, a new anthem, an almanac of the party’s achievements, and a tree‑planting campaign aiming to distribute 25 million seedlings nationwide.
