Turkey's AK Party MPs denounce opposition remarks at Council of Europe

AK Party Kayseri MP Murat Cahid Cıngı addressed the Council of Europe plenary in Strasbourg, sharply criticizing a Greek minority MP's statements and reiterating that the FETÖ movement is a terrorist organization responsible for the 2016 coup attempt.

In a separate response, AK Party Izmir provincial chairman Bilal Saygılı rebuked CHP MP Gökçe Gökçen's comments at the same forum, saying that the issues she raised concern internal party matters and warning that the opposition would “feel the consequences” if they continue to bring Turkish affairs to the European stage.
