Turkey's President Erdoğan tackles AKP internal dissent and criticism

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan condemned the chanting of “Hain Kemal” slogans at a cemevi gathering, saying the use of Alevi worshippers for political conflict was “wrong” and that “the clash should not descend from a reasonable ground.” In the same remarks he highlighted Turkey’s space programme, noting the launch of its sixth communications satellite and the total of ten operational satellites.

At the close of the AKP’s Sapanca campaign camp (June 26‑28), Erdoğan addressed party members, urging those who feel exhausted to step aside – “Yorulan varsa, buyursun kenara gelsin, dinlensin” – and warning “veliaht” seekers that he is not tired and will run for the presidency again. He also announced plans to restore 311 cemevis this quarter and to complete repairs on earthquake‑damaged sites.

Meanwhile, AKP parliamentarians voiced fatigue, saying they feel disconnected from the party leadership, unable to reach the palace or the president, and constrained from public activities. They described a “spiritually broken” parliamentary group, echoing Erdoğan’s call for renewal within the party.
