Turkey's central bank and US Fed set June interest‑rate announcement dates

Turkey’s Central Bank (TCMB) policy board, chaired by Fatih Karahan, will meet on 11 June at 14:00 local time to decide on its fourth interest‑rate move of the year. The meeting follows a previous decision to keep the one‑week repo rate at 37 % amid heightened global geopolitical risks and domestic inflation concerns.

The US Federal Reserve’s June policy meeting is scheduled for 16‑17 June, with the rate decision expected to be released on 17 June at 21:00 Turkey time. Markets are watching for whether the Fed will hold rates steady, cut, or raise them, as recent geopolitical tensions have altered expectations about the central bank’s stance.

Both central banks say they will weigh inflation trends, economic activity and external risks before finalising policy, underscoring the importance of these meetings for global financial markets.
