Turkey's central bank set to keep policy rate at 37% on June 11
The Republic of Turkey’s Central Bank (TCMB) will announce its monetary‑policy decision on Thursday, 11 June 2026 at 14:00 local time. A poll of economists shows that most foresee the bank leaving its policy rate unchanged at 37 percent, while a minority of analysts – including JPMorgan and Capital Economics – predict a 300‑basis‑point increase to 40 percent, citing a slowdown in disinflation.
Market participants will scrutinise the decision‑making minutes for clues on the inflation outlook and how long a tight stance may be maintained. The outcome is expected to affect the Turkish lira, gold prices, equity markets and credit‑rate conditions.
The TCMB’s previous meeting in April kept the rate at 37 percent, and the upcoming schedule also lists future decision dates for July, September, October and December 2026.
