Turkey's CHP former leader resigns as MHP official attacks Zafer Party head

Former CHP Kayseri provincial chairman Kemal Nakipoğlu announced his resignation from the Republican People's Party, stating that the party has strayed from its founding principles. He said, "I see the CHP under occupation from the central organization down to the provinces," and completed his resignation through the e‑Government system.

MHP deputy Ismail Özdemir posted a scathing attack on Zafer Party leader Ümit Özdağ, accusing him of acting as an "agent provocateur" for foreign interests, praising the 15 July coup attempt, and alleging ties to FETÖ, Israel, the United States and other external powers. Özdemir warned that the MHP would continue to oppose Özdağ's alleged actions.
