Turkey's CHP MP Adnan Beker Resigns, Blames Party Illegality

Ankara MP Adnan Beker announced his resignation from the Republican People's Party (CHP), stating that "personal accounts and illegality dominate" the party. He added that any political struggle within the current party structure would not benefit the country or its people, and said he will continue his parliamentary work as an independent representative.

Beker, originally elected in the 2023 general election from the İYİ Party, had previously served as an independent MP after leaving that party, and joined the CHP in March 2025 before his latest resignation. His departure adds to recent internal tensions within the CHP.
