Turkey's ROKETSAN launches $450 million missile and rocket‑fuel complex in Kırıkkale

ROKETSAN is investing roughly $450 million in Kırıkkale to build a new ballistic‑missile and air‑defence production facility alongside a rocket‑fuel plant that will increase Turkey’s fuel output five‑fold. The complex includes Europe’s largest warhead‑manufacturing plant and a research‑and‑development centre employing about 1,000 engineers, aiming to cut foreign dependence on missile components.

Kırıkkale MP Mustafa Kaplan hailed the project, saying, “Kırıkkale is now a strategic centre for defence technologies, providing high‑value jobs and advanced R&D.” The development is part of Turkey’s broader push to expand its defence industry, with NATO showing strong interest in the ROKETSAN TAYFUN missile and new collaborations under discussion.
