Turkey's draft 'process law' presented to Abdullah Öcalan ahead of Parliament debate

Kurdish politician Ahmet Türk announced that a draft of the so‑called “process law” is being prepared and will be shown to Abdullah Öcalan before it reaches the Grand National Assembly. He said the draft aims to serve “inclusive and lasting peace” and stressed the need for broad political participation.

Separately, sources claim the framework law has already been delivered to Öcalan and that a mutual agreement was reached on the text. The draft is said to focus initially on members of the movement who have not committed crimes and later on those with pending cases. Officials indicated the law could be tabled before the parliamentary recess, with an estimated minimum of 15 days needed for enactment. The development follows a recent two‑week‑old meeting chaired by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in which the National Security Council and the intelligence agency reportedly gave positive assessments.
