Turkey's e-Devlet Service Lets Citizens Check Companies Registered in Their Name

The Turkish Ministry of Trade has made two e‑Devlet services available to protect citizens from identity‑theft‑related company registrations. Through the "Ticaret Siciline Kayıtlı Sahibi, Ortağı veya Yetkilisi Olduğum Ticari İşletmeler veya Şirketler" portal, users log in with ID verification, enter the service name and instantly see any commercial enterprises where they appear as owner, partner or authorized representative. The information is drawn from the Central Registry System and displayed on a single screen.

A second service, "Ortak veya Yetkili Olunmasına Yönelik Kısıtlama İşlemleri" accessed via MERSİS, lets individuals place a restriction on their Turkish ID number. When activated, the restriction prevents the ID from being used without the person’s consent to add them as a partner or authorized person in any new company. The restriction feature was launched on 30 December 2021 and is intended to curb fraudulent additions to corporate records. Citizens are advised to regularly check their listings and report any suspicious entries to the relevant authorities.
