Turkey's Education Ministry Publishes 2026 School Manager Appointment Schedule

The Ministry of National Education (MEB) released the complete calendar for appointing first‑time school managers (principals and vice‑principals) in 2026. Applications for the Education Institutions Manager Training Programme will be accepted 3‑7 July, and a list of vacant schools will be announced on 2 July.

Training is scheduled for 16‑23 July, totaling 64 hours (eight days a week, eight hours per day) at centers designated by provincial directorates. A free e‑exam follows on 25 July. Preference submissions run 7‑10 August, with approval 7‑11 August, results announced 12 August and assignments beginning 14 August. The exam incurs no fee; candidates cover their own travel, accommodation and meal expenses.
