Turkey's Erdogan warns Israel against undermining US‑Iran deal
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Israel must not sabotage the peace agreement between the United States and Iran, calling the Israeli government “addicted to war.” Speaking alongside Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Istanbul, Erdogan argued that any sustainable Middle‑East solution must draw on the will and contributions of regional states.
Erdogan also highlighted Turkey’s intent to deepen cooperation with Pakistan in energy, transport, critical minerals, information technology and defence, targeting a bilateral trade volume of $5 billion. Turkey’s energy minister Alparslan Bayraktar noted Turkish firms are ready to share expertise on Pakistan’s electricity‑sector transformation. The remarks came as Turkish officials and Pakistani counterparts attended a business forum in the Turkish capital.
