Turkey's Expo3D Fair Spotlights Future 3D Careers and AI-Centered University Programs

Expo3D Istanbul, Turkey's first dedicated additive manufacturing and advanced production fair, will be held on 17‑19 September 2026 at the Istanbul Fair Center. Coordinator Yıldırım Ünverdi highlighted that artificial intelligence, automation and digital‑manufacturing technologies are reshaping industry and urged young people to plan careers around emerging roles such as 3D design specialist, printer operator, additive‑manufacturing engineer, medical‑3D printing expert, architectural visualiser, fashion‑jewellery designer, education‑technology specialist, recycling and sustainability consultant, and 3D content creator. The event expects over 100 participating firms, more than 120 brands, around 10,000 professional visitors and a potential $250 million trade impact, and will host the 5th International 3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing Conference.

Professor Enes Eryarsoy of Haliç University echoed the call for future‑oriented education, stating that universities must place artificial intelligence at the core of curricula. He advised candidates to select study programmes based on long‑term labour‑market trends rather than current popularity, noting that occupations such as radiology may become automated. The university offers AI‑driven admission tools and encourages campus visits to help students assess whether programmes will equip them for the forthcoming AI‑enabled job market.
