Turkey's Foreign Minister calls Israel a global threat

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has stated that Israel poses a threat not only to the region but to the entire world. In an interview with NTV, Fidan asserted that Ankara will not succumb to provocations or attempts to involve Turkey in regional conflicts.

Addressing the criticism from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Fidan suggested that Netanyahu is attempting to bolster his domestic political standing by portraying himself as indispensable, noting that hostility toward Turkey is a byproduct of this strategy. Fidan emphasized that Turkey expects a policy from Israel based on peace, respect, and cooperation.

Regarding the situation in Gaza and the West Bank, Fidan noted that progress on a ceasefire agreement has stalled. He claimed that while Hamas has fulfilled part of its obligations, Israel has failed to do so and continues to set new demands, effectively blocking the process and slowing the delivery of humanitarian aid.

Additionally, Fidan commented on regional tensions, noting that diplomatic initiatives regarding the conflict between Saudi Arabia and the Houthis in Yemen depend on the acceptance of the parties involved. He also observed that negotiations between the United States and Iran have reached a standstill as the situation becomes increasingly complex.
