Turkey's Kahramanmaraş and Bursa launch major asphalt projects

The Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality, led by Mayor Fırat Görgel, will carry out hot‑asphalt works at 20 locations across three districts from 3 – 9 August. The effort is part of a city‑wide program that has already resurfaced 145 km of roads since May, aiming to improve safety, comfort and durability of streets.

In Bursa, asphalt resurfacing on the 11 September Boulevard begins on 4 August. The works will affect numerous bus routes, with lines such as 91, 94, 17/A‑D, 38, H/4, 92‑99 and 102 temporarily rerouted. The B‑extension services will continue unchanged. Commuters are advised to check updated schedules and expect possible delays.

Both projects are intended to upgrade urban transport infrastructure, reduce maintenance costs and enhance traffic flow for residents.
