Turkey's Lavender Gardens Attract Tourists and Spotlight Outdoor Fashion Shows

The Diyar‑ı Destan Lavender Garden near Kahramanmaraş offers rows of purple lavender fields, walking paths, swings and dedicated photo spots that draw families, photographers and nature enthusiasts. Located about 25 km from the city centre, the garden is promoted as a new nature‑tourism destination that highlights the region’s natural beauty.

In Tekirdağ, the provincial Culture and Tourism Directorate organized an open‑air fashion event in the town’s lavender fields. Designers presented summer collections on a runway set among the plants, while visitors from the region and abroad took photographs and explored the agro‑tourism potential of the area. Both initiatives showcase how Turkey’s lavender farms are being used to boost local tourism and create unique cultural experiences.
