Turkey's Local School Science Fairs Draw Student Projects and Community Interest
The Beylikdüzü district of Istanbul hosted the TÜBİTAK 4006‑C Science Fair Festival at Yaşam Vadisi, where middle‑ and high‑school students presented scientific projects. Local officials including the district governor, deputy mayor and education director visited the stands, and the two‑day event featured amateur music groups and activities for children.
In Düzce, the TED College Science Festival showcased projects developed under the GençTek and TÜBİTAK programmes, coordinated by the provincial education directorate. Student teams displayed robots, smart‑home systems, earthquake‑awareness tools, electric‑vehicle prototypes, rockets and other innovations, drawing strong visitor interest.
