MHP district chiefs resign in Denizli over provincial policies
Two district chairmen of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) in Turkey's Denizli province stepped down. Honaz district chairman Hüseyin Buran and Tavas district chairman İbrahim Çavuşlu announced their resignations, stating that recent policies of the provincial administration caused them discomfort. Buran said, "I am proud to be a member of the MHP … but recent policies of the provincial administration have made me resign," while Çavuşlu expressed gratitude to party members and affirmed his continued loyalty to party leader Devlet Bahçeli. Both emphasized that their departures were voluntary and that they will remain supporters of the party.
