Turkey expands teacher training with digital seminars and overseas orientation programs

The Ministry of Education has launched several new teacher development initiatives. Mandatory online seminars covering addiction impacts, early‑intervention strategies and digital‑era education values began on 29 June, with a total of six hours to be completed by 5 July via the Teacher Information Network (ÖBA).

A separate five‑day digital‑management conference gathered heads of teacher houses from all 81 provinces in Hakkari. Participants received briefings on the Central Management Platform (MYP), discussed digital transformation in schools and were presented with service awards.

The Higher Education and Overseas Education Directorate started an orientation program for educators assigned abroad. Over 700 teachers and 30 university lecturers will attend two‑stage training covering Turkish foreign policy, diplomatic security, Turkish culture and the “Turkey’s Century” education model, preparing them to teach Turkish language and culture in foreign institutions.
