Turkey's Ministry of National Education expands school appointment system
The Turkish Ministry of National Education (MEB) has expanded its School Appointment System to include the MEBİM communication center, allowing parents to schedule meetings 24/7 via telephone. This expansion provides an additional channel alongside the official web portal and the e-Okul Parent Information System.
Under the new regulations, parents can use the 444 0 632 MEBİM hotline to request appointments with teachers, school administrators, or guidance counselors to discuss a student's academic and social development. Once a request is made via phone, the school evaluates it and notifies the parent of the outcome through SMS or email.
The system is designed to enhance school security and ensure organized communication. Unscheduled visits to schools are strictly prohibited, and individuals who are not the legal guardian or parent of a student are not permitted to enter school grounds. The initiative aims to prevent classroom disruptions and facilitate more effective school-family engagement.
