Turkey's Municipal Centers Launch Vocational Beauty and Culinary Training Programs
In Yozgat, the Halk Eğitim Merkezi offers a practical makeup course for 15 participants. Led by seasoned instructor Saniye Karabacak, the program teaches daily to professional makeup techniques, includes beauty and hair modules, and awards Ministry of Education‑approved certificates that enable graduates to open salons or seek employment.
In Kocaeli, the Beyaz Kalpler Education and Development Center celebrated the graduation of teenagers who completed pastry and cooking training. The five‑day‑a‑week program combines hands‑on culinary skills with psychosocial support, awarding certificates to youths aged 14‑18 and helping them transition into the workforce.
Both initiatives aim to boost employability and support economic participation, particularly for young women, through certified vocational education.
