BIST 100 slides 0.27% as top gainers and losers emerge
The BIST 100 index closed the week at 13,943.87 points, down 0.27% and ranging between a low of 13,875.58 and a high of 14,228.02. Trading volume hovered around 176‑180 billion TRY. Among individual stocks, Pasifik Eurasia Lojistik posted the strongest weekly gain at +22.28%, followed by Odine Teknoloji (+17.62%), Europower Enerji (+15.01%), Qua Granite (+14.96%) and Trend Gayrimenkul Yatırım Ortaklığı (+13.70%). The worst performer was Şekerbank, which fell 40.09%, with Destek Finans Faktoring (‑18.81%) and Katılımevim Tasarruf Finansman (‑18.03%) also registering sharp declines. Sector indices showed divergent moves: the technology sector surged about 8%, while the financial leasing‑factoring sector dropped roughly 2.2%; banking and holdings were near flat. Analysts pointed to global headwinds – US‑Iran tensions, AI‑related policy uncertainty and tariff debates – as factors dampening sentiment, and highlighted support levels at 13,800 and 13,700 points and resistance at 14,100 and 14,200 points. Upcoming data releases such as US PMI, Fed decisions and Turkish employment and trade figures are expected to shape market direction.
