Turkey launches TOKİ open‑sale housing scheme for 20,000 new homes

Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change Minister Murat Kurum announced a nationwide TOKİ open‑sale campaign offering roughly 20,000 new apartments across 64 provinces. Sales run from 15 June to 17 July and will be processed through Türkiye Halk Bankası and Ziraat Bankası. Eligible buyers must be Turkish citizens aged 18 or older, with no residential property registered to them or their spouse, and no income or residency conditions apply.

The programme includes 2+1 and 3+1 units built with tunnel‑form construction for earthquake resistance. In Ankara’s Saraycık district a sample 2+1 flat was shown, priced from 3.1 million lira with monthly installments starting at 21 400 lira. Three payment options are offered: a 25 % discount for cash buyers; a 50 % down‑payment with a 72‑month term and an 8 % discount; or a split down‑payment with a 60‑month term. Delivery of completed units begins immediately for some projects, with the remainder to be handed over within 48 months of contract signing. The campaign aims to increase home ownership among middle‑income families and ease pressure on the rental market.
