Turkey's Trade Ministry orders recall of PUTI badminton sets

The Turkish Ministry of Trade announced that the PUTI brand badminton sets failed the mandatory phthalate safety test. As a result, the ministry has prohibited further sales and ordered the products to be withdrawn from the market.

The action was taken under the ministry’s market monitoring and inspection activities, emphasizing the risk to children’s health. The ministry’s statement included the remark: "Ticaret Bakanlığımız tarafından yürütülen piyasa gözetimi ve denetimi faaliyetleri kapsamında, PUTİ marka badminton setinin kimyasal güvenlik testlerinde fitalat analizinden geçemediği tespit edilmiştir."
