Turkey's Used Car Prices Rise 5% in First Half of 2026
Turkey's second‑hand car market recorded a modest price increase in the first half of 2026. According to VavaCars' VavaAI Price Index, prices rose 0.74% month‑on‑month in June and accumulated a 5% gain year‑to‑date.
The price growth remained well below the country's 17.7% annual inflation rate and lagged the depreciation of the Turkish lira against major currencies, with the dollar up 8.7% and the euro up 5.6% against the lira over the same period. Analysts cited the data as indicating a balanced and controlled market, with price movements more predictable than broader inflationary pressures.
