Turkey's Van and Sinop Industrial Zones Push Investment and Job Growth

Memet Aslan, chairman of the Van Organized Industrial Zone (OSB), urged local entrepreneurs to invest in the region, citing strong infrastructure, tax incentives and the need to curb youth out‑migration caused by insufficient employment. He highlighted the zone’s industrial plots, services and the 6th Region incentives as attractive conditions for new, sustainable projects.

In the Black Sea province, Governor Mustafa Özarslan announced a 70‑hectare expansion of the Sinop OSB, pending approval from the Ministry of Industry and Technology. The zone now hosts 55 enterprises employing about 3,800 workers, with four new factories expected to add roughly 500 jobs by 2026. Additional community investments include a 100‑seat kindergarten for OSB employees’ children and a 269‑million‑lira vocational training centre slated for construction.

Both zones are presented as key drivers of regional economic development, aiming to attract domestic and foreign investors, increase production capacity and create stable employment for local populations.
