Turkey's Vehicle Tax Second Installment Deadline Set for July 31, 2026

The second installment of Turkey's Motorlu Taşıtlar Vergisi (Vehicle Tax) for 2026 opens on July 1 and must be paid by July 31. Taxpayers who miss the deadline will incur interest charges and may face penalties such as blocked vehicle registration, inspection, and restrictions on sales or transfers.

Payments can be made through the Revenue Administration's digital platforms – the Interactive Tax Office portal, the GİB mobile app, or the e‑Devlet system – as well as via internet and mobile banking of partner banks, physical bank branches, and PTT branches or the PTT mobile app. The tax amount varies by vehicle type, age and engine size, and can be paid with credit or debit cards.
