Turkish agricultural producers set new crop prices

Agricultural stakeholders in Turkey have established new pricing guidelines and purchase rates for key crops. In Çameli, local officials and producers reached a unanimous agreement on recommended sales prices for the 2026 harvest season. The agreed rates are 50 TL per kg for fresh walnuts, 300 TL per kg for dried walnuts, and 180 TL per kg for dried beans.

In the hazelnut sector, the Turkish Grain Board (TMO) announced its purchase prices for the 2026-2027 season. The TMO set the price for Giresun quality hazelnuts at 255 TL per kg and Levant quality hazelnuts at 250 TL per kg, based on a 50 percent sound kernel standard. These official rates are currently higher than free market prices, which show a difference of 70 to 100 TL per kg, prompting many producers to consider selling to the TMO to ensure a price floor.
