Agricultural developments and trade events are gaining momentum across several Turkish regions. In Yozgat, the 16th annual Agriculture, Food, and Livestock Fair has opened, featuring over 430 brands and 130 participants. Governor Mehmet Ali Özkan noted that Yozgat ranks among the top five provinces in Turkey for agricultural production and is a leader in agricultural mechanization.

In Sivas, Mustafa Eken, a candidate for the Sivas Chamber of Commerce and Industry (STSO) presidency, visited the 11th Agro Sivas 2026 fair. Eken emphasized the necessity of a modern, permanent fairground to boost the local economy and stated that the STSO is prepared to take responsibility for such a project if municipal plans are not realized.

Regarding production outlooks, projections for the 2026 season indicate significant shifts. While wheat production is expected to reach 22.8 million tons and sugar beet approximately 22 million tons, corn production is forecasted to decline to 8 million tons. Experts in Eskişehir have cautioned that increasing production volume must be balanced with water management, soil fertility, and ensuring profitability for producers.
