Turkish banks raise deposit rates and launch zero‑interest cash promotion

Several Turkish banks have updated their term‑deposit rates for July, offering yields that range from 35% to 43.5% annually. For a 1 million TL investment over a 32‑day term, net returns vary between roughly 21 000 TL and 30 800 TL depending on the institution.

Akbank introduced a zero‑interest cash campaign that allows new mobile‑app users to borrow up to 100 000 TL without interest. The offer includes up to 75 000 TL in a three‑month, zero‑interest installment loan and up to 25 000 TL in a separate three‑month advance, available through July 31, 2026.

Both initiatives aim to attract depositors and borrowers amid the Central Bank’s monetary‑policy environment, providing short‑term liquidity options for Turkish consumers.
