Turkish bus drivers killed in separate accidents receive funerals

Bus driver Mustafa Fevzi Merdun died in the Denizli‑Sarayköy traffic crash that claimed eight lives. After an autopsy at the local forensic institute, his body was taken to Selendi, his hometown, where a funeral ceremony was held at the Selendi Central Mosque and he was buried in the town cemetery.

In Ordu’s Ulubey district, minibuss driver Cantürk Topal suffered a heart attack while driving. He managed to steer the vehicle into a roadside barrier, preventing injuries to passengers, but later died in hospital despite emergency treatment. His funeral was conducted in Ulubey, with burial at the Gündüzlü Neighborhood Family Cemetery.
