Turkish businessman robbed of 37 million baht in Pattaya
Three armed and masked individuals raided a luxury residence in Nong Prue, Bang Lamung, targeting 34-year-old Turkish businessman Kutay Aslan on October 6. During the early morning assault, the perpetrators threatened and assaulted Aslan and a Myanmar national housekeeper, binding them with handcuffs.
The suspects escaped with assets valued at over 37 million baht. The stolen items included 824,000 USD worth of Tether (USDT) cryptocurrency, 210,000 baht in cash, five Rolex watches, and four mobile phones.
Thai police identified five suspects—Dong Ping, Lixinle, Wang Hongbo, Mu Hongda, and Zhiyu Wang—through GPS data, rental records, and immigration logs. Investigators recovered a vehicle used in the crime in Pattaya, finding 14 pieces of evidence including masks, gloves, and clothing. While the Pattaya Provincial Court has issued arrest warrants, reports indicate the suspects left Thailand approximately six hours after the robbery. Authorities are now initiating the process for Interpol Red Notices.
