Turkey's CHP lifts disciplinary measure against MP Gökhan Günaydın

Turkey's Republican People's Party (CHP) High Disciplinary Board voted 10‑3 to remove the disciplinary measure imposed on Istanbul MP Gökhan Günaydın. The measure, which had suspended his group deputy chairman role, was lifted after a review of the case, while disciplinary actions against eight other MPs remain in force.

The sanctions originated from a CHP Central Executive Board decision that sought the expulsion of nine party deputies. Günaydın said the issue is not merely personal but a collective concern for the party and its members, emphasizing that the disciplinary process should not continue. The remaining eight MPs still face pending disciplinary decisions.
