Turkish cities launch road safety upgrades in Muğla and Tekirdağ

Muğla Büyükşehir Belediyesi began a preparation phase to improve road safety on a stretch in Ortaca’s Dikmekavak neighbourhood where fatal and injury‑causing accidents have occurred. The municipality cleared obstructing objects, removed illegal encroachments and enhanced sight‑lines ahead of a July road‑work project, aiming to reduce collisions and protect pedestrians.

Tekirdağ Büyükşehir Belediyesi continued its safety inspections of commercial transport, checking 205 vehicles for proper permits, driver identification and route compliance. Vehicles lacking required documents were temporarily barred from traffic. The inspections, coordinated with local police, are intended to maintain safe, comfortable public transport and uphold quality standards.
