Turkish cities open free summer sports school registrations

The Ministry of Youth and Sports has launched the nationwide GSB Summer Sports Schools program, with registrations opening in all 81 provinces. In Elazığ, the local directorate will offer free training in 23 sports branches for children and youths aged 6 to 14, with applications accepted through the provincial sports office or the e‑Government portal.

Denizli Metropolitan Municipality is also opening registrations for its free summer sport courses, covering 22 different disciplines including swimming, tennis, basketball and athletics. Applications are taken online, starting 22 June for swimming and 29 June for other sports.

In Bornova, the district municipality will run eight sport branches—including volleyball, basketball, swimming, gymnastics, taekwondo and football—available to both children and adults. Online registration opens on 30 June 2026 via the municipality’s website.
