Turkish election polls show shifts in Afyonkarahisar and Trabzon

Recent political polling conducted by data analyst Murat Kızılboğa reveals significant shifts in voter preferences across the Turkish provinces of Afyonkarahisar and Trabzon compared to the 2023 general elections.

In Afyonkarahisar, the AK Parti maintains its position as the leading party with 38.2% of the vote. However, the YENİ Parti has emerged as a strong second with 26.9%, followed by the MHP at 12%. This contrasts with the 2023 results, which were characterized by large electoral alliances.

In Trabzon, the AK Parti has seen a notable decline, dropping to 36.5% from its previous 47.77% in the last general election, representing a loss of over 11 percentage points. The YENİ Parti has risen to become the second-largest party in the city with 24.6% of the vote. Meanwhile, the Yeniden Refah Partisi (YRP) showed growth, increasing its support to 9% from 4.49% in the previous election.
