Turkish Gendarmerie's Nevşehir Horse and Dog Training Center Welcomes Italian Carabinieri Delegation

The Turkish Gendarmerie General Command hosted a senior delegation from Italy’s Carabinieri, led by Lieutenant General Antonio Di Stasio, at the Jandarma At ve Köpek Eğitim Merkezi (JAKEM) in Nevşehir. The visit included a detailed presentation of the centre’s training programmes for service dogs and mounted units, as well as its operational capabilities in search‑and‑rescue, explosives detection, and other specialised tasks. Both sides discussed expanding mutual training, personnel exchanges and joint projects, agreeing to deepen law‑enforcement cooperation between Turkey and Italy. The meeting is intended to enhance the operational capacity of both countries’ security forces through shared expertise and joint exercises.
