Mayor Mustafa Galip Özel emphasized the aim of easing daily life for seniors and those requiring long‑term care, stating that the municipality remains ready to assist residents whenever needed.

In Tekirdağ, the metropolitan municipality’s Evde Kişisel Bakım ve Kuaförlük service reached 1,712 people in the first six months of 2026, exceeding the total serviced in the entire previous year. Staff provide bathing, hair‑cutting, shaving, nail care and other personal‑hygiene assistance directly in residents’ homes. Mayor Dr. Candan Yüceer highlighted the initiative as part of the city’s social‑municipal model that ensures “no one is left alone,” offering both practical help and moral support to vulnerable citizens.
